A therapeutic response to a client exhibiting acute psychological distress. Client can be visited within a twenty-three hour period after initial call. Interpretation limited. Immediate mobile crisis attention is available in Oakland for those with life-threatening symptoms via a call to 911 by requesting an emergency mobile crisis unit
|National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-8255)
This is a 24-hour hotline and 150 associated crisis centers around the country with support for languages spoken by refugee populations. Interpretation servcies are available in all states at no cost to the refugee. Languages include Nepali, Arabic, Swahili, Burmese, Somali, Sgaw Karen, Kinyarwanda and more.
